Christmas Wishes

This is the third layout for The Crafty Scrapper Design Team.  I have not used this photo in a layout.  I have always remembered it which was taken a few years ago.  The middle young lady in pink is my oldest child Heather.  The other ladies are her friends.  They are all in Junior League and this photo was taken at the Parade of Lights in downtown Arlington which they were helping to sponsor.  This paper is by Bo Bunny Father Christmas and Reminesce.  I was given the red lacey ribbon by Maya Roads which I decided to put around the circle of the paper and then added lots of poinsettas and stars.  I then added little pearls by Viva Pearl Ink around the edge of the paper.  The snowflakes and clock are from Maya Roads which I added Chestnut Roan ink around the outer edges and then added buttons and cardstock Christmas design to the centers.  I finished it up with a white and green ribbon, button, and stick pins by Maya Roads.  I added the scallop edging at the bottom and the little sign that says Christmas Wishes!

Thank you so much for peeking!!!

In Hopes that St. Nicholas Soon Would Be There...

Here is another layout I did for The Crafty Scrapper Design Team.   I really love this photo of my grandson Logan dressed up as a little elf.  This photo was taken at Junior League style show which was in November to jump start the holiday season.  I had not done a layout of him but this paper and all the embellies was perfect.   I used Bo Bunny Father Christmas papers.  On the second page I used a hole punch and made all the little dots around the outside of the paper.  However, the paper was not in this shape so I had to draw it and then hole punched around it.  The other papers are cut out around the photo.  I used the brown paper snowflakes which I inked around the edges with Chestnut Roan ink and then added the little silver snowflakes for the center.  The brown snowflakes are from Maya Roads collection.  I was also given the white cloth button by Maya Roads which I painted around the edges and tied it with red thread.  The flowers are all from Prima.  I added Bo Bunny Father Christmas metal trinkets within the flowers plus a chipboard sign that says Merry Christmas to You!  The ribbon is by Maya Roads which I added a rhinestone buckle and then added Bo Bunny metal trinket.   I LOVED working on this layout.

I hope you enjoyed looking and hopefully it will give you some suggestions when you are working on a special layout as well.

Dear Santa

I just love this little photo of me and my younger sister Sally.  This was taken in 1957 while we were living in Van, Texas.  I chose this photo obviously due to the paper which was given to me from The Crafty Scrapper to use for the design team.  We were given enough paper to complete three layouts.   These papers are from Bo Bunny Father Christmas and Reminesce.  I cut out the bottom portion and added it to the main paper.  I also cut out the paper behind the photo as well and inked it blue.  I was also given the green / gold ribbon which I added little pearls by Viva Ruby Glitter Liner.  I love the blue/ gold ribbon at the top and felt it only needed a little flower.  I already had this little blue flower with snowmen in the center which is by Prima.  I added the little white flowers which I had in my stash as well.  All the stick pins are by Maya Roads.  I also used by Bo Bunny Father Christmas metal trinket.  I was given the brown clock and snowflake which I added aqua ink to the outside edge.  I was given the little green Christmas tree button which I added it to the center of the clock with thread.  I believe the button is by Maya Roads as well.  I added a trinket to the center of the snowflake.  I was also given this little ruler which I inked the sides and added the little cloth button by Maya Roads.  The papers were so cute that I felt this layout did not need alot of details.

Thank you so much for looking!

Rock-A-Bye Baby

I just love this photo of my new grandson Colby!  Obviously he was sound asleep which makes it even more special.  My daughter-in-law had a photographer take several photos and this is just one of them.

I decided to make this one similar to his older sisters photo that I completed 3 years ago.  I hand drew the little bundle and cut out his photo.  I wanted it to look like it was something a stork would carry.  I found this lovely paper by Websters which has birds and a little nest and knew that it was the correct paper to use.  I did go outside and find a little branch and put it through the bundle.  I then inked the bundle and added lots of embellies to it.  I rather like the way it turned out!!

Items that I used:
Websters paper - Country Estate
Mirabella paper - what the bundle is made of
Prima - Bronte Blooms - Lemonade; Flowered tendrils - Lemon
Jolee's - watch
Ribbon - I am not sure but I believe it is from Maya Roads
Tim Holtz - Vintage photo - Distressed Ink
Star Dust - Stickle
Viva - Pearl Pen - White
K & Company - Butterflies

Thanks for looking!
