Wonderful

I did this layout for the challenge at CSI.  I had these two sweet photos of my grandson Colby and it worked out great for this particular challenge.

Here is the challenge:

The scheme:  Used all five colors
The Evidence:  Dots, stripes, metal object (keys)
The Testimony:  Wonderful - Follow your heart, you can never have too much happy, It's always the small pieces that make the big picture

Please see the close-ups!

Here you can see the micro beads that I used.  I also used watercolor to shadow around the photos.

You can also see the splattering of watercolor on the page.  I also placed micro beads on the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Change

I really love this challenge this month.  We had to used different shades of our favorite color.  So, I have this photo of my mother and decided to use it.  It is a black and white photo but I used watercolor to change her dress to a pale lavender.

October 2016 Main Challenge
CHANGE & OMBRE

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.
The challenge is open to layouts, canvases and art journal pages only.
Word Inspiration - CHANGE
Creative Challenge - OMBRE
Use the word CHANGE as inspiration for your project.  You can choose to add the word somewhere on your project or simply be inspired to create from it.  Please explain in your blog post how the word inspired you, if not already obvious.
For our creative challenge, we want to see an OMBRE or shaded effect on your project.  Ombre is the gradual blending of one colour hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark.  Take a look at our DT work for some very shady ideas!

Here is my layout for this challenge!

I love purple which I used a purple cardstock and then paper which has various colors of purple.  However, I then used modeling paste and stencil and when it was very dry I used a purple watercolor.  After it dried I added purple Gelato.    I also painted the leaves and circle frame purple.
The quote says: "One day spent with someone you love can Change everything!"
This photo is my Mother.  She passed away July 4, 2015.  I had never seen this photo of her before but her Mother showed it to me which I made a copy of it.  Yes, her Mother is 104 years old and she is so excited when I use photos of my Mom.  She is very missed.

Please see the close-ups!

Please join along with this challenge.  I find it very exciting and I get to really use my imagination.

Thank you for looking and have a wonderful day.

Cherish

Once again this is my layout for Scrap Africa.  They just give you colors to use and then you can decided how to put together your layout, card, tag, or whatever.  I love these colors.

It seems most of the layouts were winter scenes.  However, living here in Texas I could not even think of winter when it is 90 degrees!  So I found this lovely photo of my mom and my grandparents.

Please see the close-ups.

This layout took my several days to complete.  I used a die cut for the leaves and then inked them.  You can see I added white gesso to the flowers plus added micro beads.

I used modeling paste and twine.  I fussy cut the green leaves and butterfly.

I painted the word Cherish and then used clear crackle.  Once it was dry I added black ink.

Thank you for looking and enjoy your day!

Enchanting

I did this layout according to Tim Holtz 2016 Tags!  I love this tag it gives a feeling of Halloween which I love!

Here are my close-ups.

I cut out the pumpkin and the poison bottles.  I used a chipboard piece of a spider and painted it and then added Glossy Accent.

Please go to Tim Holtz blog and check out the tags.  It is so much fun!!

Thank you for looking!
