Inspire

I did this layout for the August Challenge at "Scrap Our Stash".

August Book Inspired Stash Challenge

Your challenge is...
Create a layout inspired by the BOOK COVER..
You are allowed to use anything from the cover that inspires you,
for instance, the colors, title, pointed hand, map, etc.
AND...you must include at least (1) decorative paper clip on your page.
When posting your layout, you must include in your write up
what inspiration you pulled from the book cover, to be considered for the
random prize drawing.
Click HERE for SOS Challenge Guidelines
Entries are due: Aug 29th, 11:59 PM (PST)

I used this photo of my son and his daughter.  She got the medallion while playing basketball.  They afterwards had a swimming party and that is why she is wearing her bathing suit.    We are so proud of her.

I took the state of Texas which inspired me using the Book Cover.

I used various papers, cut out the state of Texas and the star.  The decorative paper clip is the orange heart holding the ribbon at the top.  I cut out the flags and used matte gel to place the micro beads onto the page.

Here are the close-ups!

Thank you for looking and hope you have a great day!

August Tag

Well here I am again with the August tag from Tim Holtz!  I was not sure that I really liked this tag but it seems to have grown on me!  Please take a look.

I used various colors of distress inks for the background.  Then I painted circles and added Stickles to  make them shine.  I had pieces of chipboard which I painted and added Stickles to and the micro beads to the flowering parts.  I used Martha Stewart butterfly punch, colored them and added Stickles.  For the word "beautiful" I used die cuts by Tim Holtz.

I normally do not have all the items that he uses and my tag this month is no different.

Please see the close-ups!

Well this was fun and thanks for visiting!

MAGIC

I was given this canvas (Burlap) to create something using items from Tim Holtz. So I thought and thought and it finally came to me.

This was so much fun to create.  I had black, brown, and white paper that I tore into pieces and dipped them in glue.  I formed it into a tree and let it dry overnight.  I then added  glossy accent to seal it.  I then used sizzix die cut from Tim Holtz for the leaves.  Then painted them and added micro beads.  I cut out the flowers and the bottom and added butterflies and then a metal owl that I had in my stash.  I found the word magic and that fit perfectly with this theme.  I used Tim Holtz paper Wildflower.

Please see the close-ups!

Thank you for looking and to find out all the items I used you can find this at The Crafty Scrapper.  It is all written on the back of this frame.

FRIENDS

I did this layout for More Than Words Challenge.  The theme was "friends" which this photo is perfect!  The bottom left is my granddaughter Kenzie and her friends Stella and Brynna.  They play soccer together and they are such a great match.  They qualified to play in the Disney Tournament in January  2017.  What a great joy it will be.

This is the challenge!  Please join in on the fun!!

Here is their August challenge.
The word "FRIENDS" & to use "CIRCLES".
Remember you have to use both parts of the challenge to be
eligible to win any of the EIGHT PRIZES.

Here is the layout that I created!

I used all the items from my stash!  I used modeling paste, stencils, Gelatos, micro beads and lots of other things.    Please see the close-ups!

You can see that I applied micro beads to the leaves and around the photo.

Glad you took the time to take a look and "Thank You" so much!

Smile

I did this layout for the Design Team at The Crafty Scrapper.   I was not given a kit to create this layout but rather was asked to demonstrate some of my techniques.

This cute photo is my granddaughter Kenzie.  She is always smiling!

I used various papers and etc. that I had in my stash.  Please see below how I used several techniques.

Here are my close-ups!

Thank you for looking and have fun with all these techniques!

Love

I did this layout for the Design Team at The Crafty Scrapper!  I used three photos on this and I love it.  This is my granddaughter Kenzie.  I used so many different techniques.

I tore several pieces of paper, die cut the leaves etc., painted them and used embossing powder, modeling paste and stencil, Gelatos etc.  This layout took me several hours to complete for I had to let some things dry before I could continue.

Please see the close-ups!

Thank for looking and I will see you next time!  Please go to The Crafty Scrapper and on the back of this layout you will find all the items listed that I used.

Happy Scrapping!
