Wonderful

Hello friends!  I did this layout for CSI Color Stories Inspiration Design Team.  I finally had a chance to use these two photos.  The old car has my two grandchildren riding it in with the Christmas tree that they cut down themselves.  The next photo is the Christmas tree that they decorated.

This is the challenge:

Here is how I solved it:

The Scheme:  I used all 5 colors
The Evidence:  Christmas Elements, Stencil, Car, Trees, Vintage Element
The Testimony - Wonderful - The tag behind the photos says:
What a wonderful day it was to go hunting for a Christmas tree.  We had a saw in our hands as we roamed the field looking for the perfect tree.  At last we spotted the most glorious tree and began to saw it down.  We then placed it on top of this vintage car where our grandchildren decided to hop in.  Colby is driving and Kenzie is sitting in the back for a fun "make believe" ride.    Once we returned home we placed the tree in the stand and began to decorate.  This took some time to do but we all enjoyed how it looked and what fun we all had.

Merry Christmas 2016!

Please see the close-ups:

I did my usual of tearing my papers.  I also used a stencil, then watercolor, add sprinkles of paint.  I used a die-cut for the trees, leaves, and added some stickles.

Here is a list of items that I used:

Graphic 45 - Nutcracker Sweet Collection - Clara's Dream Paper
Graphic 45 - Christmas Emporium Collection -  Christmas Carol Paper
Tim Holtz - Christmas Die-cuts
Lace, Flowers - Hobby Lobby
Wonderful - Michaels
Cross on Trees, Stencil, Watercolor, Paint - My Stash

Thank you for looking and have a Wonderful Christmas!

Hello friends!  Well I did this layout for More Than Words Challenge.  I actually did this layout without having a photo in mind.  While looking through photos I discovered these two lovely ones of my granddaughter Paityn in her garden.

I used several mediums.  I used extra thick Gesso, a stencil, modeling paste, beads, and etc.  This was fun to create even though I did not have photo until the end.

Here is the challenge.

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.
The challenge is open to layouts, canvases and art journal pages only.
Make sure to carefully read our instructions below.
Word Inspiration - OUTDOORS
Creative Challenge - WOODGRAIN

What does the word WOODGRAIN inspire you to create?
You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project
or simply be inspired by it.  Since, as you are aware, words
are an integral part of our challenges, we want to know
how this month's word stimulated your creative process,
so please do explain in your blog post how it inspired you!

One of the many scrapbooking trends of the past couple years
that doesn't seem to get old is WOODGRAIN patterns.
We thought that it would go perfectly with our word
inspiration this month. So, whether you use patterned paper,
a stamp, a stencil or the real thing, it doesn't matter.
Show us your woodgrain!

Fearless

Hello friends!  I did this layout for More Than Words Challenge.  I love their challenges.  This one was grunge and you had to use the word Fearless.

This is my layout.

I love this photo of my Mom.  She passed away two years ago but I thought of this black and white photo would go perfect with grunge.  This paper I found and I thought it would work.

Here is the challenge.

September 2017 Main Challenge
FEARLESS & GRUNGE

It's September, and in the North, people are saying 'Where has the Summer gone?!'
and in the South, people are happy that it is finally Spring!
Wherever you are though, September is a great month to scrapbook,
so hopefully you will join in on our new Main Challenge!

Along with a fabulous challenge, we have a surprise for you...
a new amazing manufacturer has joined our sponsor lineup
and thanks to them, we can offer not 2, but 3 random prizes this month,
along with our usual list of merit and mystery prizes...
So definitely extra incentive to play along!
Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.
The challenge is open to layouts, canvases and art journal pages only.
Make sure to carefully read our instructions below.
Word Inspiration - FEARLESS
Creative Challenge - GRUNGE
What does the word FEARLESS inspire you to create?

or simply be inspired by it.  Since, as you are aware, words
are an integral part of our challenges, we want to know
how this month's word stimulated your creative process,
so please do explain in your blog post how it inspired you!

GRUNGE is defined as a deliberately untidy and uncoordinated style. Whether it focuses on dark colours, a distressed or stained look, punk graffiti, messy designs, one thing's for certain... you have to not be scared of taking risks.  So be fearless and let's get grungy!

VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT MTW RULES!
To be eligible to win, you have to incorporate both requirements of the challenge,
the word inspiration and the creative challenge.
