First Day of First Grade

Well hello friends!  This is my take on #250 which I love the color scheme as well as the theme of childhood memories.  I lived in Van, Texas which then the population was 800.  I loved living there and to this day still wish I did.  However, it is not to be so these days.

 Please see my layout.

I did a lot to the background from using a stencils in two different ways, modeling paste, stamps, etc.

Here is the case:

Here is how I solved the case:

The Scheme:  Used all 5 colors
The Evidence:  Clocks, label, animals, flowers, stamping
The Testimony:  First Day of the First Grade

Here are my close-ups:

Here is a list of items that I used:

Tim Holtz - Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Leaf die-cuts
BoBunny - Stamp (Butterflies)
Prima & Petaloo - Flowers
Prima - Clock stencil, Number stencil
My stash - Papers, sequins, black shoes, modeling paste, 2-stamps

Thank you for looking and have a pleasant day!

Adore

Hello friends!  I did this layout for More Than Words Challenge.  I love their challenges for it really makes me stop and think about how I want to incorporate all the theme and materials that I need to use.    Please see my layout:

This is my daughter and her husband.  They are so made for each other and they show it every day.  They are very happy together and always very comfortable to be around.  Love them!

Here is the challenge:

Our Main Challenge is based on a word inspiration and a creative challenge.

Word Inspiration - COMFORTABLE
Creative Challenge - COLOUR COMBO

What does the word COMFORTABLE inspire you to create?
You can choose to use the actual word somewhere on your project
or simply be inspired by it.  Since words are an integral part of our challenges, we want to know how this month's word stimulated your creative process, so please do explain in your blog post how it inspired you if it isn't obvious in your work.

This month, we offer you a beautiful COLOUR COMBO as the creative challenge. Your task is to use at least 3 colours from our cozy colour palette. You can combine with any neutral colour like white, black, ivory or kraft. So snuggle down, get comfortable and start creating!

Yee Haw Album

Well hello friends!  Carolyn started this album but asked me to finish it for her.  He added the cover on the front plus papers to about 4 pages.  He gave to me and said to do whatever..so I did.  I hope you all like it as much as I do.  It took awhile but it was so worth it!!
I love all the paper which is from Carta Bella Cowboy Country.  I used the whole line of the papers in this album.  All the other items I created them by using clipart on my compter and printed them on cardstock then just cut them out.

Please see the close-ups!

Yep...I did mention it took awhile to create but look how it turned out!  It's amazing!  On each of these tags you can place a photo and it will look even better!  Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!

Home

Hello friends!  I did this banner for The Crafty Scrapper.  I was asked to make it say "Home".
This was so easy to create and I really like the way it turned out!  Using the blue paint and letting it dry took the longest amount of time.

Here are the close-ups!
I love this!  The paper are from Carta Bella.  Please go to the Crafty Scrapper and you will find this there and on the back you will see a list of items that I used.

Happy Scrapping!!

Love Album

Hello!  I did this sweet mini album for The Crafty Scrapper.  The papers I used are from Simple Stories which is Valentine's paper.  I used the opposite side so it could be used as any type project.  Please see what I created.

Isn't this so sweet!  Please see the close-ups.
This little album took some time but I think it was well worth it.  You will find this at The Crafty Scrapper and you will find on this mini album an envelope with all the items that I used plus directions on how to make it.  Have fun and happy scrapping!

Dad

Hello my friends!  I did this layout for the design team at The Crafty Scrapper.  The papers I used is by Authentique which is their Valentine paper.  However, once you turn the paper over you can use it for any type of layout that is not Valentine!

Here is the layout I created:
I used (3) of the papers which I torn them to give a different effect.  At the  top I used a punch and then inked.

Here are the close-ups:

Please go to The Crafty Scrapper and you will find this layout.  On the back you will find the items that I used.  Happy scrapping!!

giggles

Hello my dear friends!  Today I did this layout for the design team at CSI.  I love the colors that are to be used which goes well with this photo of my newest grandson Jaxson.  He has the bluest eyes, blonde hair, plus a sweet dimple on his right cheek.

Here is my layout:

I am prejudice but I think he is so cute!

Here is the challenge:

I believe the colors go perfect with the layout.

Please see my close-ups:

I used (2) stamps on the background, various watercolors, added these sequins too!

I also used (2) stencil - one white and one gold modeling paste.

I know it is hard to see but after the background was dry I added crystal embossing which sparkles.  However, if you could see it in person you could see he shine!

Here are the items that I used:

Martha Stewart Punch (on the sides)
Tim  Holtz - leaf die-cuts and black soot ink
Petaloo and Michaels - Flowers
The Crafty Scrapper - Sequins and embossing powder
Prima - (2) stencils
My stash - watercolors and (2) stamps

Thank you for looking and please go to CSI color stories and inspiration for the challenge twice a month!  Just use supplies you have and join in on all the fun!  See you there!
